Earthy, black fruit aromas with notes of smoked meats and gamey qualities. Easy drinking with dark berry and blueberry flavors, vanilla and gnarly wood that leads into a smokey, herbs and meaty finish. Rustic, juicy and plenty of spice in the finish to pair with grilled meats, BBQ and rich foods. A really fun, easy going wine that packs flavors and structure in all the right spots. This varietal isn't well known or widely planted in California but is a prominent grape in southeastern France.
