Expressive and unique aromas of sage, herbs and fresh raspberries and blackberries with clove, spice, black licorice and leather. Amazingly clean entry with juicy red berries, even ripe strawberry notes! Juicy berry flavors lead and linger into a long finish with sweet tobacco and leather with creamy vanilla, herbs, charred oak all integrated into an elegant tannin structure. Seriously, JUICY and layered with earthy nuances, fresh new oak components and all types of berries screaming at you. Damn, this is a nice wine!
Winemaker Notes
For those that like a great heavy red wine, this Sage is right up your alley. Normally most bordeaux blends use Cabernet as the base but we decide heck with that, lets switch it up. Lets use Malbec & Petit Verdot as the core of this wine! And it been a hit ever since.
